Stay, play and relax:
Welcome to The Timber House, a secluded countryside retreat just 25 minutes from Birmingham city centre. Featuring four bedrooms ( sleeps 8), this beautifully crafted oak-framed house is nestled within 35 acres of rolling British countryside. Hidden at the end of a private track, this peaceful and private escape offers complete seclusion- with no passing traffic and no neighbours in sight. Whether you’re gathering with friends or enjoying a relaxing family break, The Timber House is the perfect place to unwind, explore and reconnect with nature.
Despite its rural charm, the house is easily accessible, just a short drive from the M5.
The track is rough, so not suitable for your Ferrari or other low-slung cars.
Though only 15 years old, the house has all the character of a period property, thanks to its oak-framed construction and distinctive architectural features.
The living space includes a grand entrance hallway, a welcoming farmhouse kitchen and ‘The big room’ a luxurious open-plan area for dining and relaxing. Curl up in ‘The snug’ beside the wood burner or retreat to ‘The reading room’ perched at the top of the landing and surrounded by original beams.
Featuring four large bedrooms, it’s the perfect place to gather friends and family. One master bedroom, super king size bed and ensuite, rolltop bath with views of the garden. One large room with a super king bed. One large room with a double bed and one large room with twin single beds.
A shared family bathroom with a spa bath and shower.
The large farmhouse kitchen is fully equipped with all the mod cons and a Rayburn for slower cooking styles. A huge table makes this ideal for gatherings. The Utility off the kitchen holds a large fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing and drying facilities.
We welcome well-behaved dogs, though please note there are no solid boundaries, and the surrounding land is rich with wildlife, so good recall is a must.
As a florist and flower grower, we have a small workshop away from the house, so you may occasionally see us tending the field or pottering in the workshop, but we will stay away as much as possible during your stay. Fresh homegrown and foraged flowers will be waiting for you inside the house, and if you’d like to try a new skill, we can arrange a floral workshop as part of your stay. Prices on request.
To elevate your experience, we can help organise luxury extras such as a hot tub or sauna, ideal for making the most of the peaceful outdoor setting. We can also organise catering/ private chef or a fridge fill to make your stay even more special.
From the doorstep, there are miles of public footpaths on the historic Monarch’s Way. There are several pubs to walk to with varying distances for all abilities.
Whether you’re seeking a creative retreat, a special place to reconnect, or a luxurious break in nature, The Timber House offers style, comfort and complete privacy in an unforgettable countryside setting
